Best online ticketing platform in Luxembourg: which one to choose in 2026?

Which ticketing platform should you choose for your event in Luxembourg? The 5 criteria of a good ticketing platform, the national network versus self-service ticketing, and a comparison of five ticketing platforms.

In Luxembourg, the best online ticketing platform is the one that meets your event’s needs, makes buying simple for an audience that often comes from across the border, and supports you from the moment sales open until the day of your event. You can choose between the luxembourgticket network, launched in 2003 and organised around sales outlets and a call centre, and online ticketing platforms that you run yourself from your account. PassPass, a European ticketing platform launched in 2024, brings ticket sales and the tools around them together in a single tool, with a team that supports you. Eventbrite and Ticketmaster are American platforms, and Weezevent is a French self-service ticketing platform.

1. A ticketing platform that meets your event’s needs

Every event has its own needs. A concert sells in waves and checks hundreds of entries in an hour, a seminar needs precise information at registration, and a cultural centre needs a seating plan. Before you choose, list what you will need, then check that the ticketing platform does it without adding another tool.

On PassPass, the tools below are part of the ticketing, with no extra module to add.

Depending on your sector, additional solutions can be added in the same tool: a seating plan for a performance venue, badge printing and invoicing for a professional event, and white-label ticketing to sell under your own name.

2. A ticketing platform that is simple for your buyers and for you

Your buyers usually arrive from a story or a message, on their phone. If the page is slow, if the interface looks dated or if they have to create an account before paying, some of them give up. A good ticketing platform reduces buying to a few clear steps, with the payment methods your buyers already use.

On PassPass, the buyer chooses their tickets, enters their details and pays by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, without creating an account. Tickets arrive by email and in the phone’s Wallet, which suits an audience coming from across the border. Try it yourself on an event that is on sale before you choose.

The ticketing platform is also the tool you will spend time in: following your sales, adjusting a price, adding a guest, replying to a buyer. A well-designed platform that is fast and easy to get to grips with saves you that time, so you can focus on your event.

PassPass was designed in 2024 to keep to the essentials. A simple ticketing setup is ready in a few minutes, and the dashboard shows your sales, revenue and attendees at a glance.

3. A team that supports you from start to finish

Questions often come up at the wrong time, the day before sales open or on the morning of the event. A good ticketing platform does not leave you alone with a help page. It helps you set up your event, advises you according to your needs and answers quickly when it matters.

At PassPass, a person from our team answers you in English. We go through the setup with you, we advise you according to your event, and we stay available during sales and on the day. Once you feel comfortable, you manage your events on your own.

“The platform is clear, user-friendly and useful, both for showcasing our events and managing the transaction flow. Above all, I can feel the energy of a young dedicated team that maintains a partner approach rather than simply a supplier one.”

4. You stay in control of your ticket sales

Before you commit, check what you receive for each ticket, who owns your buyers’ contact details and if you are free to leave when you wish.

On PassPass, the fees are known in advance, payment fees included, and you choose whether to cover them yourself or pass them on to the buyer. The details are on our Pricing page. Your attendee list belongs to you and can be exported at any time, and there is no subscription or commitment.

5. Data protection and GDPR compliance

A ticketing platform stores your buyers’ names, email addresses and sometimes their answers to your form. As the organiser, you are responsible for this data under GDPR, so choose a reliable provider that tells you where the data is hosted and how it is protected.

At PassPass, all data stays in the European Union, and the platform was designed for GDPR from the start. Payments go through Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider, and you only ask your buyers for the information you need.

Luxembourg’s national network or a self-service ticketing platform

Some venues in Luxembourg still sell through luxembourgticket, a network launched in 2003 that combines online sales with physical sales outlets, a call centre open on weekdays from 9am to 5pm and a box office on the night. To put an event on sale, you fill in a listing form and send back signed documents, and a €20 ticket costs you €2.25 in fees, more than twice what PassPass charges.

Your buyers, meanwhile, increasingly buy online, from their phone, often right after seeing your post. An online ticketing platform puts you in charge: you open sales the same day from your account, change a price or create a code in seconds, and see your sales in real time, with no intermediary. For visibility, publish your event on echo.lu, the national events calendar, which accepts organisers whatever ticketing platform they use.

The ticketing platforms one by one

PassPass

PassPass is a European ticketing platform launched in 2024, built for selling online and on mobile, for events of any size. You create your event in a few minutes, your buyers pay from their phone without creating an account, and you manage promo codes, guests, the registration form and entry scanning in one place. If your event needs them, the seating plan, badges and invoicing can be added in the same tool. Our team helps you get started, then you manage everything on your own, with no subscription or commitment, and your data remains yours.

luxembourgticket

The luxembourgticket network was launched in 2003 and its strength is box office sales, with physical sales outlets and a call centre open on weekdays. It runs on the system of the German company CTS Eventim, and putting an event on sale goes through a listing form and signed documents rather than an online account. Its fees come to €2.25 for a €20 ticket according to its price list of 1 July 2025, more than twice what PassPass charges, even a free ticket costs €0.25, and access control is extra, at €30 per day per app licence.

Eventbrite

Eventbrite is an American platform known to the general public, whose main asset is its marketplace, where your event sits alongside those of other organisers. For everything else, it is self-service, and it publishes no price list for Luxembourg, so check the fees and payouts for your account before you start. The seating plan requires its Professional plan.

Weezevent

Weezevent is a French self-service ticketing platform with a broad offer, several parts of which are charged separately. According to its price list of 27 August 2026, an American Express payment costs 10% of the ticket price, PayPal 3.25% and Klarna in three instalments 4.5%. For a seating plan, its team creates it from your files, charged at €0.50 excl. VAT per seat with a minimum of €200.

Ticketmaster

Ticketmaster is a name known to the general public, with a marketplace designed for international tours. In Luxembourg, its shows are sold through ticketmaster.fr and ticketmaster.de, and it works under contract and on quotation, so you go through a sales representative before you can open sales.

By type of event

Festival or concert

You often sell in waves, with a first price that sells out quickly, and most purchases are made on phones from social media. A self-service ticketing platform works well here, and PassPass adds sales tracking by source, with no tool to install, and a team that supports you. See our ticketing pages for festivals and for concerts.

Party

Sales are made in the last few days, and entry has to be quick. On PassPass, tickets arrive in your buyers’ Wallet, guests come in through a list or a code, and your team scans entries from their phones. See our ticketing for parties.

Professional event, seminar or trade show

You need the right information at registration (company, job title, workshops), badges on arrival and sometimes invoices for companies. PassPass brings together the custom form, on-site badge printing and, as an add-on, invoicing in Peppol format, which is already mandatory in Luxembourg for invoices sent to public authorities. See our ticketing for professional events.

Show with reserved seating

With fixed seats, a seating plan lets everyone choose their seat and lets you sell each section at its own price. At PassPass, our team creates the plan from your existing one; Eventbrite keeps its editor for its Professional plan, Weezevent charges €0.50 excl. VAT per seat with a minimum of €200, and Ticketmaster includes it in a quote. See our detailed comparison of seating plans.

Non-profit or free event

For a non-profit (asbl), a music society or a local festival committee, free tickets cost nothing on PassPass, even alongside paid tickets, and you keep your attendee list so you can follow up with them. Reduced or member prices work through codes, and your volunteers scan tickets at the entrance with their phones. See our ticketing for non-profits and our article on free online ticketing.

Sports event

A match or a race needs tickets for each type of audience and fast access control when people arrive. PassPass handles the ticket types, codes for clubs and entry scanning from phones. See our ticketing for sports events.

Additional solutions

Ticketing is enough for most events. Depending on your sector, you may need more: a seating plan for a performance venue or a cultural centre, badges and invoices for a professional event, or ticketing in your own name for a venue or a festival that sells under its own brand.

At PassPass, these solutions are connected to your ticketing and managed in the same place. Everything stays in sync. A sale takes the seat on the plan, adds the attendee to the badge list and prepares their invoice, with no export and no other software to connect.
